Questions and answers
How Clean-Able works, in plain words. Don’t see yours? Ask Scoop.
Getting a price
How do I get a quote?
Tell Scoop in the chat, or use the form, what needs cleaning and where. Up to 3 prices from local companies show up instantly.
Do I have to give my phone number?
Not to see prices. We ask for it once you choose a company, so both Clean-Able and the company you chose can talk with you about your job and schedule it.
Will companies call me to sell me?
No. Until you book, you haven’t given anyone anything to follow up with. You may see some Clean-Able ads around the web afterward (retargeting), but that’s passive only. Nobody calls you.
What if I don’t know the square footage?
Give us what you know. Our AI does the math, and if we can’t work it out, we may ask you for a little help. If we still don’t know, you get an estimate and the company measures on site. Before any work starts, they confirm any price change with you, then start the job.
Why up to 3 quotes?
Only companies that do your kind of job, cover your area, and have current insurance on file can quote. Sometimes that’s one or two; it’s never more than three.
Booking and paying
How does scheduling work?
While you compare quotes, you see each company’s next 3 open times. Once you choose a company, you get a fuller set of times to pick from. You can choose any time within a workable, reasonable window.
Who do I pay?
You pay the company you chose. Homeowners save a card when they book, and it’s charged only when the work is done. Bank transfer (ACH) is coming soon. Property managers and owners’ associations can also pay by check, made out to Clean-Able (preferred) or to the company, and mailed to Clean-Able; the address is on your invoice.
Where do the prices come from?
Clean-Able worked with each company to build a pricing path that matches their own bids as closely as we both could. The price you see is that company’s price.
What if the job turns out different than I described?
Every job is confirmed before it starts. The company can change the price once they see the job. If the new price doesn’t work for you, they leave and there’s no charge. Pricing surprises are rare.
Trust
Who does the work?
The company you chose. Clean-Able works to list only quality companies. People and situations change, and when they do, we filter out companies that don’t perform.
How do you check the companies?
We read each company’s insurance documents ourselves and keep every expiration date on file. If anything lapses, that company stops getting new jobs until the renewal is checked.
What if I’m not happy with the work?
Tell us and the company as soon as you can. The fastest way is the “Something’s not right?” button on your job page (the link is in every email about your job), or reply to that email thread. Complaints go straight to a person on high alert and are handled right away; expect a call from Clean-Able staff within 1 to 3 minutes.
Property managers and associations
What does “multi-family compliant” mean?
The company’s insurance meets industry standards for multi-family work: general liability of $1M per occurrence and $2M aggregate, commercial auto, and workers’ comp (or an owner-operator declaration). We also mark the compliance programs they’re registered in, like NetVendor and Yardi. Use a different program, or do your own compliance? Ask in the chat and a person will call you to get you the details or set up what you need.
Can I get the W-9 and insurance certificates?
Yes. On your quotes page, request a company’s compliance paperwork. Clean-Able confirms the request and emails the documents by the next business day. Need them sooner? Ask in the chat and a person will help right away.
Do you work with HOAs and condo associations?
Yes. Clean-Able looks forward to meeting the high expectations of your owners’ association or property management company. We ask up front whether it’s rental apartments or an association.
